Alfred "Al" Jennings was an American train robber, lawyer, and author from Oklahoma. Born in Virginia in 1863, Jennings moved to Oklahoma in the late 1800s and became involved in outlaw activities, including robbing trains and stagecoaches. In 1895, he and his brothers were arrested and convicted of train robbery, leading to Al serving time in prison.
After his release from prison, Jennings became a practicing attorney in Oklahoma and was elected to the state legislature in 1901. He also authored two books, "Beating Back" and "The Jennings Earp Fight."
Later in life, Jennings struggled with alcoholism and financial difficulties. He died in 1961 at the age of 98.
